Objective and Focus

Because, the intersectionality of crime and sexual orientation is particularly fascinating, the prime objective of this blog is to discuss and research cases that focus on crimes committed by individuals or against individuals that identified as gay.

More specifically, I ask what maladaptive behaviors, ideas, and attitudes among gay men and gay culture increase the likely hood of victimization?

Does pornography depicting hardcore sadomasochism, drug use, and anonymous sex normalize violence and aggression?

To what extent do contemporary societal perceptions of homosexuality impact the reporting, investigating, and persecution of crimes committed against/by gay men?

Cordell Farrington

Cordell Farrington is a Bahamian serial killer
who killed 4 children and his adult lover, Jamal Robins (22) from 2002 to 2003. Over a period of five months, a total of 5 boys suddenly vanished overtime from Grand Bahama:  Mackinson Colas (11), DeAngelo Mackenzie (13), Junior Reme (11), and Desmond Rolle (14).

On October 26, 2003, Farrington gave himself up to the police, confessing to the murders of the boys, as well as the killing of his lover Jamal Robins in Freeport (2002) whom he had met while in a rehabilitation center.  Farrington, then directed the police to remote parts of the island and to his house, where, in numbered boxes, the bones of some of the children were found.
